This project was developed in the form of photographs placed around the living room of the Katakouzinos’ apartment in Athens. The house of the Katakouzinos was a meeting place for the high and intellectual society of the 70s. Furniture, personal objects and family photographs were already in the space and the artists’ work had to be incorporated. The artist’s photographs were taken in real and imaginary environments. The artist used a traditional costume from the mainland of Greece, real and fake sheep and other objects in order to create a dialogue with the real paintings and family photographs that existed in the house. Tradition and contemporary culture, hand labor and intellectual work were some of the issues that this work tried to address. The exploitation of the people of the countryside by the bourgeois middle class in the early 20th century is here trying to balance with the nostalgic atmosphere of bucolic life.
At the opening of the exhibition, the artist performed the service of the house dressed in her traditional costume and offered the visitors small chocolate biscuits in the form of sheep.
