In Between

In her thesis the artist elaborated the idea of the space as a zone, a place “in between”. As in Tarkovsky’s film Stalker, the zone is a place dead, forbidden and sacred at the same time, in this work images, drawings, videos and installations coexist and overlap each other in an attempt  to create a sense of a liminal space between conscious and unconscious, silent and noisy, empty and full, life and death.

The drawings were also exhibited in the group exhibition Visual Arts in Greece: Crossing the Borders, Ministry of Culture/ State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki 2006
