Five moulds are lined up in front of the artist. Three are filled with cement and two are empty. After sitting for an hour in front of her installation, the artist removed the wooden molds to allow her cement towers to make their appearance. She then removed her pants and placed her feet inside the empty molds in front of her. She mixed quick-setting cement with water and cemented her feet with it. When the cement dried, she removed the molds from her feet and tried to walk away with the weight constantly making it difficult for her to move. Based on Kafka’s book The Castle and at the same time responding to the current developments in the political scene in Greece, the performance tries to highlight two opposing forces: on the one hand, the security given by the achievements of the past and on the other hand, the inability of drive and growth that the future needs, thus revealing the grey area of every idea that often fails to become reality.
